In the armored vehicle industry, bullet-proof glass is often termed “transparent armor” or “ballistic glass.” This specialized glass varies in thickness and can withstand attacks from high-caliber assault rifles, sniper rifles, and even heavy artillery like RPGs.
Transparent armor resembles the safety glass in standard car windows, but it consists of layers of polycarbonate and leaded glass. This composition results in a material that is thicker and safer than regular glass.
